Two City Commission positions are up for election in the March 8, 2011 General Election.
Residents interested in serving on the City Commission must qualify with the City Clerk between noon, Monday, January 3, 2011 through noon, Monday, January 10, 2011. To qualify, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen; a registered voter of Broward County; a resident of the City of Dania Beach for at least six months prior to the date of the election; and be at least twenty-one years of age. Candidates must designate a campaign treasurer and open a campaign account. A filing fee of $25.00 and an Election Assessment Fee of $203.82 must be paid from that account at the time of qualifying. A financial disclosure is required and the candidate must take a loyalty oath.
